Robert's Mother's Day talk

Good afternoon boys and girls,

Today is Mother's Day and I would like to talk about my own mother. Her name is Betsy spelled B-E-T-S-Y. Using the letters of her name I would like to describe her.

B - is for beautiful. She is very beautiful to me.
E - is for example. She sets an example for me to follow.
T - is for teaching. She teaches me how to pray, she teaches me about the scriptures, and teaches me how to follow Jesus Christ.
S - is for sacrifice. She sacrifices her time, her money and her talents for me and my family.
Y - is for why I love my mother so much. I love to play soccer and my mom is my greatest fan. When I am hurt she is there to comfort me, when I am cold she is there to snuggle with me and make me warm. Even though I do not always obey my mother she teaches me in the right way.

I would like to read a scripture to you: Alma 56:47 - "Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been thought by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them."

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
