There was less than an inch of snow on the roads, not to mention that it was melted away by 8:30 a.m. CRAZY...but Robert didn't care - he had a free day to have FUN.
Mark took a 1/2 day so he could have some special time with Robert. Robert, Devon and Mark played together until 4:45 when everyone met up at Olive Garden for dinner. We had the best time - Robert loved his pizza (Devon wouldn't eat anything except the breadsticks).
We ate so much at Olive Garden that we decided to go up to the church gym to play some basketball as a family. Robert, Mark and Betsy were one team - Jessica, Marissa, Devon and Jern Jern was the other team. It was a blow out - Mark would get the rebound and do a long pass to Robert. Robert consistently did a lay up for 2 points. What great fun!
Robert had hinted all week that he wanted a "air-soft" gun, but I had a better surprise for him. A while back at a soccer tournament Robert showed me a "Manchester United goalie" shirt that he really liked. I secretly bought it for him. I put it away until this day! Robert was so excited - he hugged me and hugged me, hugged me some more! He also got a soccer goal and rebounder! He's so excited!
Tomorrow is Robert's last Blue and Gold. My little boy is growing up!
