Getting ready for Senior Prom was super fun for Betsy, boring for Robert. Prom was amazing for Robert - and ... well Betsy didn't get to go (right). About a month before Prom, Robert asked Shannen Roy to be his date to Prom. It was so cute. He knew her well from Spanish class, and from playing soccer with her younger brother, David - known as D-Roy. A few weeks before Prom Betsy found out what her dress color was so that we could make sure that Robert's tux was the perfect compliment to her dress.

Robert and his friends made all the plans. The timing was a bit crazy. Mark and I were out at BYU for Tate and Jessica's graduation from BYU and could not fly home until Saturday morning - which meant we arrived in Louisville at 4:30 pm. Pictures were at 5:15 at Berkley Park. We drove straight from the Airport to the park. Robert was home for the long weekend by himself, and had to get ready by himself, or with the guy friends before he went out to Goshen to pick up Shannen. Shannen Roy's family lives in a beautiful house right on the Ohio River. It was a beautiful day for Senior PROM. Photos were taken at their house before Robert and Shannen met us at Berkley Park along with the whole group.

Robert had a hard time finding the way into the Park. Google Maps said to take the interstate 64 but that was incorrect. He and Shannen drove all the way to Simpsonville, then had to turn around and come back to Louisville to find the park. Luckily we were able to talk to him and he figured it out.

After the group took photos, they met downtown for dinner at Vincenzo's - an amazing restaurant with delicious Italian food. From there they drove over to the Gault House for Prom. After Prom Robert went to Ike's house for the after prom Party. |
