Tonight is the last NOHS girls track banquet I'll attend with any of my kids as athletes. So sad. It is Marissa's last NOHS Track banquet. She's a senior! Where did the time go - how did it go by so fast?
As usual, I've volunteered to be in charge of the banquet 1) because I've done it for so long and 2) because no one else volunteered. It's harder now that I work full time, but I've worked it out. I got off work at 5:00 and went directly to Prospect Party store to pick up the balloons - I didn't have room for them all, so I asked Marissa to come to the store and get some. Thank goodness she is such a nice young lady!!!!
I got to the banquet hall around 6:00 because traffic was soooo bad. That only gives me 15 minutes to get it all set up. YIKES!!! I was under the impression that the banquet started at 6:30, but the invite says 6:15 YIKES!!!
Luckily everyone is helpful and we get all the table clothes on and balloons in place! Luckily it doesn't take long and we got it done before most of the people came. The place looked great! The caterer was already there with the food so that was all taken care of!!!
The night was beautiful. The honored all the Freshman first, then Sophomores, then Juniors and saved the SENIORS for last.
Marissa was honored for running in all 4 STATE MEETS of her high school career!
It was so nice to see the seniors get their SENIOR SCRAPBOOKS (that I made), and to have the SENIORS give the coaches their books. I love making these books, but honestly I'm glad I no longer have to do it. I'm sure someone can do a better job.
The coaches were super nice and gave me flowers for all the volunteer work I do.
