This week has been so much fun because I have been able to take the whole week off so that I can just hang out with Jessica and get her ready for her mission.
Monday we had to go into Louisville to see the International Travel Vaccination Clinic. She received Typhoid pills and prescriptions for other diseases (Malaria and Traveler's Diarrhea). Jessica does not do well when it comes to the thought of shots, or disease, etc. She became weak in the office and needed to lay down.
Tuesday, Jessica spent some time with her friend Jenny Orr while I did preparations for Robert's Eagle Court of Honor. When she returned home she helped me cut up the fruit and arrange on platters.
Wednesday we had to see the doctor again for more vaccinations. This time she needed the Meningitis and the Tdap. One in each arm - poor thing. Once again she started to feel weak and needed to lay down. I am glad today was the last day for shots. After receiving the shots we went to Target for personal care items. We were there (looking at everything from shoes to clothes, to wipes, moleskin, bandaids, etc.) for one and a half hours - how in the world could we spend that much time there. We also went to the PO and then to Panera to bring home lunch. We ate our delicious healthy lunches on the back patio while sunning ourselves. It was a perfectly beautiful day (86 degrees). Unfortunately, Jessica turned pink by the end of the night. I hope she feels better soon.
Thursday we continued preparations for the mission trip. She needed photos and her patriarchal blessing laminated, shoes, and blouses.
