2012 Christmas Letter

Dear Friends and Family,                                                                                                    2012

“Because I have been Given Much I too Must Give.”  This sentiment is exactly how we feel here in the Lowe home.  It has been such a blessed year despite the ups and downs of LIFE’s challenges; we know the Lord has been with us through every step!

Mark - After coming close to being laid off continues to work for Flextronics, Inc.  What a huge blessing to our family.  We are also blessed by his calling as the Young Men’s President and his quick recovery to knee surgery, but mostly for being the wonderful husband and father that he is.

Betsy - She feels like her life is so full - blessed by four beautiful and wonderful children; really, what more is there to life!  She enjoys work and the time she volunteers for the kids.  She feels so humbled to teach the parenting classes both in the community and at church.  At the close of this year she reflects on where our family has come from and where we are now, and can not help but to feel a deep amount of gratitude for the numerous blessing in our lives.

Jessica - in her second year at BYU and now preparing to go on a mission.  Despite being so far away she is blessed with great roommates, great grades, and a great job.  She works at the MTC and has declared Elementary Education as her Major.  Such a beautiful blessing to our family!

Devon - a Senior!!!  Devon drives (need I say more), runs cross country for North - they are State Champions three years in a row, takes 3 AP classes, works at the movie theater and will earn the Venture Gold by the end of the year.  (Not to mention Seminary :)  Despite being sleep deprived and pushed to the limit he is maintaining Honor Roll, helps around the house and is a great big brother.  He has already been accepted to Louisville Speed School of Engineering, but hasn’t made any decisions, yet (waiting to hear from other schools).  Over the summer Devon went on his third High Adventure in New River Gorge - biking 54 miles in one day, doing category 5 rapids, climbing and rappelling 3000 ft, and hiking over 20 miles.  With Devon we can count our many blessings!

Marissa - already a Sophomore, finished her freshman year with all As, she finished her first season of track running the two mile in 11:57, and her second season running cross country despite braking her leg on the first day of practice (July 15).  She finished 13th in the state; she was named MVP, making All State and All State Academic.  She loves running and blesses our lives with her passion, determination and drive!

Robert - last year in middle school (8th grade).  We feel so blessed that Robert’s ACL injury is completely healed and thus we have enjoyed many cross country meets, soccer, basketball and futsal games.  Robert’s cross country team won the State Championship for the third year in a row, with Robert finishing 30th overall.  As much as he is determined in sports, Robert is a dedicated and outstanding student - earning all A’s in school.  He also has grown so much by completing all the requirements for Eagle Scout.

Most importantly as a family we know the Lord is in our lives, and that has made all the difference.  We wish you all the same many blessings in your life - through good and bad time the Lord is with us and has blessings waiting in store for you!
