Spring Sizzles into Summer 2008

I'm venturing into the unknown. Blogging - wow. I guess I'm not that old if I can blog.

The Lowe family has had a wonderful spring season. It seems like it's gone by too fast and summer is nipping at our heals - I'm not complaining. I love the summer. The kids are home, the sky is blue and the sun shines (most of the time). It means playing tennis, badminton or soccer with the kids or hanging out at the pool with friends from the neighborhood. It also means fun vacations with the family (Mark included). This year we plan (if gas doesn't go too much higher) a trip to Kirtland, Niagara's Falls (I know I didn't spell that right, but I don't care), Palmyra, and New York City.

We are just wrapping up the end of soccer and track season. SOCCER is a common word in our house. Robert plays on the U9 Boys Thoroughbred White team (competitive). His team was undeated this season. Marissa plays on the U11 Girls Legends team (competitive), and Devon plays on the U14 Mixed Arsenal team (rec league). It takes us away from the home on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights, and almost every Saturday, but it is so much fun to watch them play with their team members and enjoy the game.

Jessica decided to try out TRACK. She runs the 100 hurdles. She has had an amazing season, coming in second in the county and fifth at the Regional meet. Awesome! Her best time was 19.11.
